Brazilian pianist, Dr. Guilherme Godoi completed his bachelor’s degree in piano performance
at Campinas State University and moved to the United States for his graduate studies.

collaborative piano at Florida State University. His research and lectures on Brazilian
music are sought after at conferences internationally. Dr. Godoi’s contribution to the operatic
world focusing on the operatic works of Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Gomes has
contributed to the diversity of operatic literature, giving Brazil a voice in the world of opera.

singers a pedagogical approach to learning BP using the English language as a bridge.
As a performer, Dr. Godoi has appeared on stages throughout the U. S., Brazil and the
Middle East, in both solo and chamber music recitals. He has worked with opera singers
such as Marilyn Horne, Lubana al-Quntar, and Anderson & Roe piano duo. While his
background and repertoire primarily lay in the Classical genre, Dr. Godoi is also at home
performing Brazilian Jazz, Musical Theater, and Contemporary styles. He also performs
regularly with his wife, Indo-Caribbean Palestinian American soprano Dr. Feryal Qudourah,
who is on the faculty of the American University of Sharjah.
