Ms. Tanaporn Rajatanavin is a music scholar, lecturer in music, and piano instructor who has been actively teaching in the United States as well as Thailand since 2014. Ms. Tanaporn earned her Master of Arts Degree in Musicology from the University of North Texas in 2020. Her area of expertise specifically focuses on French ballets in the twentieth century and their connections to psychology, literature, popular media, artistic trends, and techniques in the visual arts.
Ms. Tanaporn has been invited as guest lecturer and held several workshops at universities in Thailand including Rangsit University and Udon Thani Rajabhat University. In the United States, Ms. Tanaporn taught several music history courses as she held a graduate teaching assistant position at the University of North Texas. Apart from teaching in the collegiate level, Ms. Tanaporn had maintained a medium-size private piano studio in Dallas-Fort Worth area from 2016-2020. Ms. Tanaporn received her piano training at Texas Christian University, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance under the instruction of Dr.Tamás Ungár and pedagogical training under Dr. Ann M. Gipson. Ms. Tanaporn received full scholarship throughout her undergraduate study and graduated with “great distinction” or magna cum laude in 2018.
In June of 2020, Ms. Tanaporn joined Frisco School of Music and Performing Arts as a piano faculty. After moving back to her home country in 2020, Ms. Tanaporn managed extra-curricular program for music at King’s College Internation School, Bangkok from 2020-2021. She, then, worked with the curriculum team for a global childhood development brand, Gymboree Play & Music from 2022-2023. Ms. Tanaporn currently teaches at College of Music, Mahidol University, as part of the piano department while holding a music teaching position at The Tiny Seeds International School, Bangkok.
