Tingshuo Tang, PhD, is a piano teacher at a university in the United States, specializing in piano performance.
She graduated from the Piano Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2014, where she studied under Dr. Sun Yun.
That same year, she was admitted to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to pursue a master's degree, studying under Prof. Yoshikazu Nagai, the head of the department. During her time there, she participated in numerous master classes, chamber music performances, and held many solo concerts. She was taught by masters including Oxana Yablonskaya and Garrick Ohlsson, among others.
After earning her master's degree in 2016, she continued her studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, pursuing an artist degree. She obtained a PhD in Art from Arizona State University in 2020, where she studied with Professor Robert Hamilton.
During her doctoral studies, she served as a teaching assistant in the piano department, instructing undergraduate students. She held numerous solo concerts and completed all doctoral credits with a GPA of 4.0.
In 2019, she was invited to participate in the National Liszt Piano Music Festival.
In 2024, she is scheduled to perform with the ASU Philharmonia Orchestra at the Tempe Center in the United States.
